Physiotherapy in care homes and nursing homes
Individual physiotherapy for residents, with a dementia-aware approach and clear advice for care teams, anywhere in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.
Who I see
- Residents who have had a fall or are at risk of falling
- Residents recovering after a hospital stay, illness or surgery
- People living with stroke, Parkinson’s, MS or another neurological condition
- People living with dementia
- Residents losing mobility, strength or confidence
A dementia-aware approach
I hold a Positive Approach to Care (PAC) certification, which focuses on understanding and supporting people living with dementia. Sessions are calm, unhurried and adapted to each person, so residents can take part with confidence.
Working with care teams
I share simple exercise and mobility advice with care staff, so progress continues between visits. With the resident’s permission, I can also keep families updated.
- Assessment of mobility, transfers and walking
- Individual treatment and exercise programmes
- Walking aid and equipment advice
- Falls prevention
- Clear written updates for staff and families
