Health insurance

Using your health insurance

P Shinde Physiotherapy is recognised by several major health insurers, including Aviva, AXA Health, Vitality and WPA.

  • Check your policy, then get in touch to confirm your insurer is recognised.
  • I'll need your membership number and any authorisation number before your first appointment.
  • Any shortfall or excess on your policy is paid by you.

If you don't have insurance, or your insurer isn't listed, you're welcome to pay for yourself. Self-paying patients pay at each appointment, by card only.

Common questions

Do I need a GP referral?

No, not if you're paying yourself. Some insurers ask for a GP referral before they'll authorise treatment, so check with yours first.

How long is an appointment?

Add appointment lengths, e.g. initial 60 minutes, follow-up 45 minutes

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition and goals. After your first assessment I'll give you an honest estimate, and we review progress at each follow-up.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing that lets me see and reach the area being treated, such as shorts for a knee problem or a vest top for a shoulder.

What is your cancellation policy?

Add your cancellation policy, e.g. 24 hours' notice
